High in the mountains of Ouray County, Colorado, the Elk Mountain Resort is the culmination of a developer's vision to create a world class, year round, recreation and lodging facility.

Encompassing over 200 acres, the resort is anchored by a main lodge with suite style guest accommodations. Dispersed further throughout the site are luxury guestcottages that compliment the overall architectural theme of the project.

Stratford Building Corporation (SBC) scope of work consisted of design, engineering and construction of lodging buildings along with ancillary facilities.

SBC constructed guest cottages which were comprised of 8 modular cores; and when assembled at site, resulted in a 2600 s.f., 3 bedroom/3 bath lodging structure.

Accessible from the main lodge are the lodge suites.  These were constructed by SBC in (7) seven separate buildings that provided three individual suites each.  High end finishes are prevalent throughout both the suites and cottages.

Two 1900 s.f. plus buildings were also constructed by SBC.  One structure houses the resorts' great fitness facility and the other is designed for administrative and housekeeping service.
